W. Bro Raymond Rooke
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of W.Bro Raymond Rooke who passed to the Grand Lodge Above at the age of 81 in the early hours of Friday 6th December.
He was a very accomplished and respected freemason both Warwickshire and Worcestershire in Craft, HRA, AMD, KT, Mark, Red Cross, RSM, OSM and SC, being appointed APGM for Worcestershire an office he held with great distinction, he also held a number of high offices in other orders.
No doubt, there will be many memories you will have of Ray, he was instrumental in promoting and growing lodges, chapters, councils, conclaves and preceptories. There will be lots of good things rightly said about him.
During his Masonic journey he was a member of 12 Craft Lodges (Founder of 5), 5 HRA Chapters, 4 AMD Councils, 12 KT Preceptories, 11 Mark Lodges, 6 OSM Conclaves, 8 RAM Lodges, 2 Red Cross of Constantine Conclaves, 4 RSM Councils and a Scarlet Cord Consistory. He was an Honorary Member of many more.
A remarkable man, we’ll remember him for many years to come.
W. Bro Michael Guest
It is with sadness we have to inform the brethren of the passing to the Grand Lodge Above of W.Bro Michael Guest PSGD who passed to the Grand Lodge above last Friday 6th December aged 86.
W Bro Michael Guest was a very distinguished Mason and a member of many orders in the Midlands, Nationally and World-wide.
He had served as Deputy PGM of Warwickshire Mark Degree in 1999, in the Order of the Secret Monitor he was Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler of the Midland Counties, and latterly Deputy and Grand Supreme Ruler of the Order. In 2010, he became the first Grand Summus of the Scarlet Cord when it was separated from the OSM. Most recently, he appeared in Worcestershire OSM to act as the Installing Officer for the installation of RW. Bro Robert C Vaughan as Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler.
He will be very much missed by all those who enjoyed his company.
