Worcestershire Brethren 'a call to arms'

Freemasons in Worcestershire are preparing to support the Royal British Legion poppy appeal once again in 2024 and are hoping for a bumper turnout of brethren to assist.

The sites we are assisting at are Frankley Services M5, both North and South Bound and Sainsbury's super store, Kidderminster.

Poppy Selling begins on Saturday the 26th October and will continue for two weeks with the final push being Saturday the 9th November. We hope to offer support each day during this period but will maximise our efforts on the Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, in two shifts 9.30am to 12noon and 12noon to 3pm. Brethren can offer to support outside of these days and times if they are able.

Head of Worcestershire Freemasons Stephen Wyer - 'the United Grand Lodge of England and specifically Worcestershire Freemasons have signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant, in doing so we pledge our support to the men and women of our Armed Services who have served, and who are serving our great nation today'

Amanda Clements-Hunt the Poppy Appeal Manager for Worcestershire 'we look forward to working with Worcestershire Freemasons and continuing our long-standing collaboration with them'

Brethren who would like to assist are invited to make contact with our provincial poppy appeal coordinator W. Bro Martin Kadir on email: m_kadir@me.com , you can sign up for one, or as many opportunities to assist as you can.

Thank you in advance brethren, please do all you can to support the Royal British Legion as they support those in need.
